I have enjoyed acting and being around actors, mostly in community productions. It's often the little things went wrong that stick: No reaction from the impeccable, Meryl Streep when I told her I couldn't remember how to walk; Having Harvey Keitel tell me: "When I enter a room I usually prefer to have no one in it." On stage anything can and will happen--like slipping on the stage after in heaved water, right into a stand and having a fake pot fall on my head to the crowd's uproarious delight; With straight face attempting to explain to two actors from New York that I would be directing their next scene because the actual director had experienced a bout of "dizziness"; showing up for a New York audition for a traveling version of Odd Couple with a buddy to find the line had wrapped around the building--then getting a call back! Unfortunately the past months have taken a great toll on all performing arts venues . If you have given a donation to any arts organization in your community during this most difficult time, your support has never been more needed and appreciated . Thank you! (September 2020).
